Shu – He It is a 1000-year-old village that is 200 years older than Li Jiang Old Town. The section which was destroyed by an earthquake in 1996 rebuilt like a theme park but the rest, with 700-year-old wooden buildings constructed in classical Chinese style from local pine is a wonder.
Three Pagoda Temple The tallest of the three, Qianxun Pagoda, has 16 tiers that reach a height of 69.13 meters Its structure, similar to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, capital of Shanxi Province, is in an architectural style typical of the Tang Dynasty . The two smaller pagodas to its west and north, each 42.19 meters high with ten tiers, have a luxurious appearance with their exquisite carvings.
Yufeng Temple Yufeng Temple is one of five Lamaism temples in Li Jiang. It was originally built in Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911). Its architectural style is the combination of the Han, Bai and the Tibetan nationalities.
The Old Town of Li Jiang The Old Town which occupies an area of three point eight square kilometers was firstly built in the late Song Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty and has a history of more than 800 years. It located on the plateau which is 2,400 meters above the sea level, and looks like a big jade ink slab.
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is the southernmost glacier in the Northern Hemisphere. Consisting of 13 peaks, among which Shanzidou is the highest one with an altitude of 5,600 meters, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain stretches a length of 35 kilometers and a width of 20 kilometers.
Jade Spring Park Since the water of the pond is as green as a shining jade, the park of Black Dragon Pool, which was built in 1737 during the Qing Dynasty, occupies an area of 11,390 square meters and includes many distinctive and ravishing sites.
Li Jiang Mural There are several ancient villages, including Baisha, Dayan, Shuhe, Yangxi and Xuesong. There, the invaluable Li Jiang Mural is stored, preserved and displayed in 15 venerable temples, such as Juexian, Wande, Guiyi temples and Sanbi Garden.
Tiger-Leap-Gorge Tiger-Leap-Gorge with a drop of 3,000 meters is believed to be the world’s deepest canyon. The name of the gorge is attributed to the legend that a tiger had once jumped across the gorge at its narrowest section 30 meters in width.
Stone Drum Village This ancient town is named after a drum-shaped marble plaque. Built during the Jiaqing era (1548-1561) of the Ming Dynasty, the stone drum is a monument commemorating the victory of Li Jiang's Naxi ruler over an invading Tibetan army.
The First Bend of the Yangtze River The Jin Sha Jiang River was forced to the turn to north as a result of alpine movements which caused changes in the earth’s physiognomy. When the river reaches Shigu Township it makes an abrupt turn and flows further northward, forming the marvelous view.
